I've been out of HR for a decade. I retire soon and wanted to get a mobile HF rig for the motorhome. Something simple, compact, AC/DC, covers most of the advance class bands at least. (I'm sure there are new ones by now). Not looking for fancy, nor the highest or lowest price.

Also, looking for a HT. Same specs. Simple and not a fortune to buy. I assume 2 mtr still the most common out there.

I'm attending a large Hamfest this week-end. I figure there'll be some good used equipment available.

There are lots of good used Yaesu and icom HF radios, new radio prices are going up like crazy, so wait before you go new. As for HT's 2M is still the most popular, and you can get single band HT's for pretty cheap as well.
