I purchased a Mirai Shuha Technologies (MST) three trap vertical wire antenna for HF plus 2 meter operation. A friend and I put the antenna up with one rope, lol and it performed like a CHAMP !!! SWR meter shows it has a very wide bandwidth -- from 80 meters all the way through 2 meters with results from 1.3 to 1.5 VSWR. The staff was very knowledgeable on the phone and super friendly. I would definitely recommend this antenna and their other products to hams and scanner enthusiasts worldwide !!!

I tried it out and I don't think the antenna's as bad as you think.
