Once you get your Ham Radio call sign, you can start your own Ham Radio Station.

A Ham Radio Station consists of a Ham Radio Transmitter and a Receiver, the combination of Transmitter + Receiver is called Transceiver.

With a Ham radio ransceiver, you will be able to talk to other Ham Radio Operators around the world through Radio Signals.

Range of a Ham Radio station depend on output power of the Transmitter, Antenna and Weather condition.

On Whort wave, you can have world wide communication with a low power transmitter (QRP) if weather is good, Short Wave signals propogate around the world reflecting on ionosphere.
